Let’s face it, storm Brian isn’t exactly making most of us want to do anything lately – even Boe’s getting a bit of cabin fever, especially seeing as he was stuck in most of last week anyway with the flu #grrWinterGerms
So when I got an email this morning from Heather at Twinkl with a few new resources, I felt my cold bones get a bit excited!
If you’re not familiar with Twinkl, it’s a website where lots of teachers and home edders get their educational resources. You have to join to print out most things, but there’s some great resources available as well for those with a free account. We ended up joining last year and I cannot tell you the amount of things we’ve printed off – Boe’s been really enjoying watching it all come out of the printer and then being able to laminate some of the pieces J he makes the perfect little admin assistant already, bless him.
Anyway, so in this morning’s email, we got sent a link to a couple of free family packs, and they’re so much fun that I just had to share them with you!
Twinkl, Twinkl, you little stars
The pack contains 15 different activities which you can download and print.
These activities are:
* how to make a magic wand
* woodland potion recipe
* Autumn Changes Checklist
* How To Make a Pumpkin Fairy House
* Painting Pine Cones activity
* Building a Mini-Den
* Autumn Science and Maths Activities
* Things to do in the Autumn ideas sheet
* Spooky Scavenger Hunt
* Leaf Marbling
* Nature Canvas activity Sheet
* Leaf Peg People
* Autumn Wordsearch (and answers)
* Autumn Hunt Checklist
* How To Make an Autumn Crown.
The majority of activities are for 5-7 year olds, but Boe would LOVE the magic wand (followed by me repeating a famous mum-ism of “don’t run with sticks” haha), the pumpkin fairy house, and a lot more to be honest, so even if you have kiddos under 5, it’s still a fun activity kit 🙂
You can download the file here – all the activities are individual PDF’s, so you can just print off the ones that would appeal to you and your family, which means you’ll not be forced to waste print and paper on activities that are the wrong age group 😉 horray! You will need to create an account to download it, but you don’t have to pay for any memberships at that point, so don’t panic when it asks you to register.
We’ve already printed our activities out (we don’t waste time here hahah), and we’ll be starting some today.
Why not follow us on our Facebook page to see how our activities go? If you manage to do any of them yourselves, please feel free to share your photos with us!
(I’ll also be adding some of our activity photos to this blog over time, too)
Have a happy week
Plinky and Co xx
Great activities here for little ones and the bigger little people too ?
Aww thank you – there’s so much to do in this little pack, and I love how it’s free, which doesn’t happen very often! 🙂
