……… and what this means for the blog.
Hey there, gorgeous readers!
I know what you’re thinking…. “What?! A new blog post?! After all this time?!
Yep, I know. Our last major blog post was back in 2019 :O
I’ve jotted a few others since then, but nothing decent enough to keep on the feed as they’re all about a certain part of my life that I thought was going to be a big journey but was over before it even started.
So let’s address that big elephant in the room.
Where did I go?
I’ve still been here, but I’ve not really known what to do with this blog space. Initially it was meant to document and share our experiences with home ed, but as Little Bug flew off to school, that didn’t really happen, and since then I’ve not really known what to do with it.
I wanted to turn it into a family blog, but we don’t go off travelling here there and everywhere, nor do we do much that would match up with all those wonderful blog writers that we all know and love, and the pressures I’d put on myself to try and even think about content just made me feel too overwhelmed and too stressed.
So my little website just sat here in the corner, with the light off, and I carried on with my life as normal.
And that brings us to this week.
I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a little nook for those with chronic pain conditions for a while now, most notably those who run a small business, but it was always in the back of my mind and would only really come to the forefront when I was resting or having a flair up.
But this week I had spent a lot of time in bed because a) it was flipping freezing downstairs and b) I had my winter jabs and they triggered a ruddy fibro flair.
So whilst I was resting (and in between my bursts of watching tv, working from the duvet and playing Minecraft and napping, I suddenly had a mental download!
This needs to be my little Fibro world!
A place where I can share my tips, tools and life hacks that I’ve used in my so called life to help me get through my days. And not just that, a place where I share my experiences to the fibro community, and talk about how partners, family members and friends can offer support in the most simplest of ways! Trying to parent or run a small business whilst juggling chronic pain flairs? There will be tips and tricks for you, too!
As I’ve also lived with Endometriosis, anxiety and depression and other things, these tips will be adaptable for anyone living with chronic pain or a chronic illness, so if you don’t fit in the fibro box, still stay tuned as there will be lots for all of us spoonies.
Do you use the term spoonies? I have to admit, I used to but then it stopped resonating with me for some reason.
If you’re unfamiliar with the term “spoonies” or the Spoon Theory, you can read about it here: CLICKYLINK
So that’s my news and the path we’re heading on, and I’d love it if you were coming along with us, but I totally understand if you jump ship due to the totally different change of direction.
My goal is to try and post a blog once a week, but we’ll see how that plans out.
Social pages will follow shortly, once I decide on names and all that jazz, and I’ll pop all the deets up when they’re done.
But for now, thanks for reading, and I hope you have an awesome day!
