Today I clearly lost my mind.
It was 11.15am and for some reason I decided to brave Ikea. At lunch time. On a Sunday. Obviously I had reached a huge level of insanity.
Why, I hear you ask. Flipping good question…..
I love Ikea. Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE that shop. I also love our tuff spot trays. So when I noticed this beauty was available, I just had to go and get it.
We’ve had so much fun with it this afternoon – we’ve played with our Autumn coloured rice in it, we’ve had small world play and now we’re bouncing water beads in it!
While I love the tuff trays, this little coffee table is perfect for indoor play as it’s so much smaller than the tuff tray, which means I don’t have to make as much rice, or as many water beads, plus it’s deep enough to make a decent sized splash tray too!
So if you’ve liked the idea of tuff spot trays but haven’t got the room (or money) for one, I highly recommend getting a Ypperlig from Ikea, or if you want a smaller kind of tuff spot tray just for the sake of it, like us ? It’s tray is metal as well so it looks like it’ll have a few years of use.
And if you’re thinking of getting one to use as a coffee table, it’ll be great for if you spill wine as it has raised edges – just grab a straw to clean it up ? no wastage!
What sort of activities would you have in yours? We’ll be doing lots of activities in ours which hopefully I’ll find time to blog about, so keep an eye on our FB page to see what pops up ?
Happy Sunday
Plinky & Boe xx
P.S FYI Ikea actually wasn’t as bad as I was expecting it to be – in and out in 45 minutes ? it would have been different if we’d have gone to the Christmas section though. Have you seen this year’s range? Amaaaazing!
Adios x
